Anne van Laar

She studied Violoncello in Zwolle with Maria Hol and Ran Varon (1987-1992). She attended many masterclasses with Christopher Bunting (UK) and Shmuel Magèn (Isr).

When Anne met Carey Beth Hockett, she started the Suzuki Cello Method (1997-2000) and became Teacher Trainer in 2005. She was also teacher methodology at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague (-2009).

Anne has a big cello class in The Hague (“Van Laar Celloschool”), and works since 2017 in “Strijkdomein”, a collective of stringteachers.

Besides teaching the cello, Anne is a professional coach. Her coaching specializes in bringing balance between work and personal development.
